Children with Special Needs
With certification in Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapist, we are able to offer special programs to children with a variety of special educational needs including Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Creative music therapy, as pioneered by Nordoff and Robbins is based on the belief that music can help access the deep musical self that resides in us all and remains intact despite physical or mental impairment.
Professional Musicians, Music Therapists and Music/MT Students
We offer specialist 1:1 sessions to help professional/accomplished musicians in overcoming issues such as those related to performance anxiety, loss of passion in life and in music making. New ways of connecting to music are explored, illuminating the self and fostering confidence to be transferred out of the therapy room and into life.
Song writing is often used to help with processing of thoughts and feelings. Songwriting provides added perspective and opportunity to express difficult feelings.
Use of recording technology is utilized to produce a lasting object that can be used to document progress and enhance communication with loved ones.
